Because we don't have any kids...

Because we don't have any kids, we (well.. I) treat Bridger almost as if she were a child. I put bows on her collar, I buy her gifts from Santa... you know, the usual. Well, my sister (did I mention that she's pregnant?) has become a domestic sewing crazy head and has gotten really good at it. Well, one day she found a website that will give you instructions to transform one of your old tacky Christmas sweaters into a dog sweater. Genius!

A couple of weeks ago, I grabbed my measuring tape, followed her instructions, and got her Bridger's measurements. She started with one sweater that I think she found in the big and tall section of the Salvation Army (just to make sure she wouldn't run out of fabric). Once she finished the first one, she had so much fun and decided to make two more. She headed back to Salvation Army and picked out two more sweaters.

After making one more, she decided to go ahead an send the finished two in order to make sure they fit properly before making the third. They were in the mail with enough time to make it before Christmas, but unfortunately.. that didn't happen. They did make it on Saturday though!

The package was addressed to "Bridger Mann" and even included a letter!

Here's what the letter said:

Dear Bridger,
I hope you like your new
outfits. Make sure these fit,
because I saved the best
sweater for last...
I hope you don't get
made fun of while you wear
these. I happen to think
they are very funny and cute.
If the other dogs in Abilene
laugh it's because they are
jealous of your Los Angeles
style.
Hope you have a Merry
Christmas...

Aunt Christy
(and Uncle Mike)

So no, we are not serious when we do these things, but it just makes it funnier... I didn't get the package until about 6:00 Monday morning, so I decided to make her try one on really quick. I told my mom that she was yawning and leaning against me an stuff trying to figure out what was going on, but not really caring. It was like dressing a sleepy child, and very funny.

Then, last night after my Christmas shopping spree (I'll show you that later), I had her try them on so I could send pictures to Christy. *Sorry about the photo quality... all of these were done with my phone so I could text them..

This one is my favorite!

and the Brown one..

She is such a sport to let me have fun with her! B said he didn't really care what I did to her, as long as she still hunts, he's good.

Here are some of the other pictures from Christmas Eve and all the snow that I told you about yesterday..

This was our view out of our front door in the morning when it first started snowing.

and this was my car when it first started snowing..

I took Bridger to PetSmart to get a bath on Christmas Eve because they always do such a good job and I don't like cleaning the hair out of the tub... Plus, they love her so much! They were so excited that she was coming in! When I was there, I knew the sweaters from Christy were coming, but they weren't here yet. I saw this one on the $5 rack, so I decided to go ahead and get it (something I normally wouldn't have done... I promise). This is her looking out the window while B ran in to Lowe's to get some firewood.

This was about mid morning when we let Bridger out in the yard. The snow was starting to get deep!

Bridger was so thankful that Santa brought her a new bed.

Here's the snowman we were going to make... we only used our feet because we didn't have any gloves and it was so cold outside. When you don't have any coal for the eyes, cherry tomatoes seem to do the trick. Later on in the afternoon, I let Bridger out again because she loved the snow. She managed to find the snowman and eat his nose.. I stopped her as she was going for the eyes.

and this is a picture I took while we were driving.. it seriously looked like Colorado, except we don't have any snow plows..

Side note: There is still snow and ice on the ground from the snow we had on Christmas Eve, and guess what? It's snowing AGAIN!!

West Texas Hurricane?

So I meant to post this on Friday, a day after this all happened.. but life gets busy and so do I! So here's the story:

Thursday evening, I was making dinner when Brandon got home. One of the first things he said to me was, "There's a pretty big storm coming!" I hadn't even paid any attention, which if you know my father, you'd be shocked. I looked out the window to the north and saw the huge black clouds coming and thought sweet! We need the rain!

We sat down to dinner and watched the sky around our house get darker and darker. The wind started to pick up and you could tell it was just about to get pretty bad. I mentioned to Brandon that I had always wondered where we would go in the case of a tornado. We are on the second floor and there are literally windows in every room of our house--including the closet. As we sat there finishing up dinner, the lights started to flicker. We looked out the window and saw the trees nearly bending in half from the wind while pulling and tugging on the power line that comes to our house from the alley (hence the lights flickering). Brandon said, "well, I guess we could go over to my parents' house..." So that's what we did.

I took a quick video of the trees right before we ran out the door, but unfortunately it wasn't during one of the BIG gusts of wind, and I'm talking up to 80 mph gusts!

Literally second after I cut off this video, we ran out into the storm. Trash and trash cans were blowing down the street, big tree limbs were down all over the place, it was a powerful storm!

It started to rain the minute we got in the car. So I pulled up the radar to see what we were up against.. and it showed me this from about 45 minutes before...

In the car I turned around to see how Bridger was doing back there amongst all of the random things Brandon had back there and this is what I saw

Poor thing! She was balancing around empty cardboard boxes! I was laughing so hard at her, and then I moved them for her! We got to his parents' house and ran in the door to watch it rain. The storm brought more wind, hard rain, and a little bit of hail, but after about 45 minutes it was over. We decided to head back home and we had a double rainbow!

Excuse the huge crack in Brandon's windshield...
I thought it was pretty cool!

We returned home to find that we didn't have any power. In fact, one of the street lights nearby had fallen from the wind. I was shocked to see what the wind had picked up and thrown around. There was a metal bench that was flipped over and the back snapped off of it, large tree limbs everywhere, and at the ACU game (I'll get to that next) an entire set of bleachers had flipped over the fence, and all the way into the endzone, tearing the fence down in its path!

Honestly we were a little nervous to come home for fear of what might have ended up on my car, but thankfully there was only a shingle from our roof!

Since we had no power we decided to go buy some cookie dough and go back to his parents' house to make some cookies. They had all gone up to the ACU game by the time we got there so we decided to watch it on TV. That's right, I said TV.

#5 ACU played #2 Northwest Missouri (the team they lost to last year in the playoffs) and Fox Sports Southwest chose it as their Division II game of the week. I guess we could have actually gone to the game seeing as it was less than a mile away, but we would rather watch it from the couch...

I decided to change Bridger's bow to purple just for the game and she was so good for letting me take pictures of her with it.

Then she got pretty annoyed at me so I stopped.. but congrats to ACU for the win! Tonight is Muck Fest for Young Life, so look forward to some pretty disgusting photos soon!

Straight out of a Cartoon

Yesterday afternoon, Brandon sent me a text message that completely caught me off guard.

So later he came to my office on his way home to tell me the story and it goes something like this...

He was working out at one of the leases his company has close to town, cleaning it up and just working on routine maintenance. He was using a chain saw to cut down a mesquite bush that was right next to a couple of tanks. The tanks sit up on stilts to elevate them from the ground, and under those tanks were two "giant" hornets nests. Also under those tanks was a fairly large nest of those hornets that live in the ground.. I don't know what they're called.

Brandon is cutting away at this mesquite bush that is literally growing next to the tanks and would get in the way if they were to just let it grow. He gets one limb down and it falls slightly under the tanks. As he's starting to cut the next limb, one with an even bigger wasps nest (which he couldn't see), the ground hornets come at him, full-force and hit him in the side and back of the head. As he reached to pull them off, he felt something on his chest and noticed he had a ton of wasps on his shirt and shorts. He flung them off and took off running because the second wave of hornets, the ones with the "giant" nests could sense the stress in the air and were joining in the fight.

I imagine it looking something like this...

minus the Disney looking guy.. and adding some pasture with cactus.

He said he ran close to a quarter of a mile zig-zagging through the pasture, jumping anything in his path to get away. They finally dispersed and he had to make his way back to the chainsaw slowly because every once in a while, one would come fly a circle around him.

I didn't get an actual count of how many stings he had because the bulk of them were from the wasps and he wasn't kidding when he said they don't really do anything to him. They just disappeared to be little dots by the time I saw him. The hornet ones in his head were the only ones he said hurt, but he wasn't about to complain about them! ha! He did say, however that he pulled a lot of stingers out of his hat and shirt.. they had stung him, but they couldn't make it through the material to his skin.

My response was, "Well thank God you wear clothes to work or this would have been terrible!" good one, Kelly. He laughed at me and then we got up to leave.

Yesterday we were going to officially begin our house searching process by going to see a house with a realtor, but we pulled the plug at the last minute. We don't actually have a realtor for ourselves, but through information and advice from a friend, we decided not to have the same realtor that's listing the house show it to us. I know nothing about real estate and don't claim to, but something about trying to offer a lower price and it being more difficult to bargain down with the realtor that is going to see the profit no matter what and the fact that they want as much as they can get.. I don't know. But we are going to talk to a realtor that Brandon knows here in town that is from a different agency and we'll go from there!

Have a Happy Thursday!

Why Brandon wants to be a Professional Fisherman

Yesterday I had dinner with some of my YoungLife girls so Brandon saw an opportunity to go fishing without any complaining from me! He and one of his good friends, Zane went fishing on the lake in his parents' neighborhood.

I got a call about 8:30 from Brandon asking me very nicely if I would get my camera and come take some pictures of these "monsters" they caught. Me being the blogger that I am, I always have my camera with me because you never know when a good story will come up and those stories are always better when they are accompanied by a picture or two. So, I drove on over to the lake and waited on the rocks for them. It sure must have looked odd when I was walking across a field in my long summer dress to the edge of the water where they were meeting me because as I walked closer to the edge, I noticed two guys, close to my age, fishing. So there I was, standing seemingly aimlessly in a dress, staring in the direction of the lake, trying not to make eye contact with the guys fishing about 20 yards away. And did I mention they were on a rock almost facing me? Yes, awkward.

I see Brandon and Zane doing some sort of victory lap around the lake before they came in to see me (now the guys fishing knew why I was there). They came up slowly as I climbed down the large limestone retaining wall to get on the level of the water (yes, in my dress).

The boys pulled out the fish and they were so proud. Zane caught a couple of big bass, but Brandon caught a HUGE one! Brandon dreams all the time about being a professional fisherman and getting to fish all the time and get paid for it. I just say, "that's nice, sweetie!" and go on with life, but Brandon was proud of this fish. I had to talk him out of getting it mounted.. what was I supposed to do with a massive bass on a plaque? put it on the wall? I doubt it! haha..

So with no further ado.. here are the fish (Zane's fish are in our freezer right now, I know you're jealous)
He had to show off how big the fish actually was..
So that was our evening. We're off to the lake this weekend so hopefully I'll get some pretty good stories .

Happy 4th of July! (we've been engaged for a year!)

Things I love About the Rain

It's raining!! Rainy days are my favorite, except when it's been raining for 3 weeks straight, it's 20 degrees out, or I just washed my car--none of which relate to today's rain! Last night when we went to bed there was lightning in the distance, but I didn't really think there was much to be said for it. When I woke up this morning, it was drizzly. You know, the kind of drizzle where you just want to stay in bed and watch movies all day? That kind. It has been switching back and forth between drizzle and rain all day now and I LOVE it! ..I just wish I had a window in my office so I could watch it, but then again, that would probably put me to sleep!

On my way home from lunch, I started to think about what I love about rainy days, besides taking a nap, of course.

Here's something I love about rainy days..

a drop in temperature

getting to use my ridiculously expensive umbrella that I bought to match my rain boots

leaving the door open to listen to rain and feel the cool air

And now for some things Bridger doesn't like about the rain:

Having to sit on the front porch until I can get a towel because she was on top of the dog house again (I'm going to get a picture of this someday)

Having to stay on the towel because she's too muddy. Look how mad she is at me, I just kicked her out of the kitchen!

Have a wonderful rainy day! (well, if it's raining for you, of course!)

Such a Good Weekend!

This weekend I traveled with my mother-in-law, Connie, to Houston for a wedding shower for one of Brandon's cousins. As much as I dread the 6 hour drive for just one weekend, it was worth it.

I got to spend the majority of the weekend with my folks and we had fun. Saturday morning we did the usual and made our trip to Victors and after that, my mom and I went to get our nails done! This is basically a tradition between the two of us!

Afterwards we went to a few stores, but I was proud of myself for not buying anything!

Living in West Texas, I sometimes forget how intense the humidity of Houston actually is. I mean, I know it's bad, but I forget how bad. It was SO humid and SO hot! It was so hot that when my mom and I returned from our little adventure (don't worry, Cinnabon was part of it), we found this little guy..

You may not be able to see it very well, but he is soaking wet. My dad had been watering the front yard and he was playing in the water. He watched us for a little bit shaking every once in a while and just looking around under his shower. Then he ran over to the tree to watch us some more. You might be able to see that his tail is not very fluffy because it's so wet.

After all of that fun, I went inside to get changed for Breanna's wedding shower. The shower was so nice, such a nice home to have it in and she got all kinds of gifts. Here are all the women in the family who could be there.
Even though my weekends are normally used for catching up on my sleep, it was refreshing to visit family and have fun!

I thought I would be completely wiped out by the time we got home, but it seemed that I was full of energy! Brandon's boss, Dean, called him in the evening and asked him if we wanted to come to his son, Wes' baseball game. It got delayed because of the game before it so it wasn't supposed to start until 9:00--and for 9-10 year olds, that's pretty late! So we went and it was a BLAST! He is on the 'allstars' team for one of the little leagues here in town and it was such a good game. The way it works here is at the end of every season each league in the area, including surrounding towns, picks a group of kids in each age group to play on the allstar team for that age group, then all of the allstar teams play each other to find the best league in the area.

The games at this level are not allowed to start a new inning after 11:00, so Wes' team was sweating bullets being the home team at the bottom of the inning around 10:55 and down by 3 runs, and knowing that if they lost they would not advance. They pulled it off though! The final score was 15-14! Well worth staying up past my bedtime to watch!

They play again tomorrow and Wednesday so maybe we'll go watch and I'll take some pictures!

A Sad Day for the Finch Family

You may remember a while back when I posted about Mr. and Mrs. Finch and their nest in our kitchen window. Well those little guys did as nature instructed them to do and procreated. We had three little bitty eggs that were nurtured and cared for, probably by Mrs. Finch, Mr. Finch was probably out with his buddies. They grew and hatched into 3 lovely little bald baby birds!

For the past week or so, I have been listening to them chirp and I've loved it. Brandon thought it would be annoying to have them 'screaming' for food all the time, but I happen to like it. They are not loud by any means, and they only get excited when they know mom or dad is close by with a delectable worm or bug, and even then it's a sweet little cry, much like a new born baby--how could you get upset about that? From our side of the window it is very hard to see because, well, it's the back of the nest. But Mr. and Mrs. Finch left me a little peep-hole in which I check on the babies everyday.

Yesterday at lunch, I was walking on the sidewalk going back to our stairs and something caught my eye. It was one of the little babies, let's name him Paul, dried to a crisp on the pavement. Poor little Paul must have gotten a little too adventurous and fell out of the nest (either that or I will have to have a talk with the parents). I was sad. Sad because at that time, I actually didn't know how many babies were in the nest because they were so small that I couldn't see them. I rushed upstairs to see if there were any survivors and I got the best glimpse of the remaining two (Charlotte and Ben--although I don't know the gender of any of them) I had ever seen.

After work, I grabbed my camera and tried to get some shots of these little ones, but actually the video is a little bit better because of the focus. I've never put a video on here before, so I hope it works out! Also, sorry there is no sound.. I tried to be quiet so maybe you could hear their chirping, but I don't think that worked (I told you they weren't loud)!

Charlotte and Ben

I wish you could see them, in person because it is so hard to get a good picture of them.. Their heads are about the size of a nickel, maybe, just to give you a perspective!

Surprise

So this morning, I was walking into the kitchen for some breakfast before I left for work when I felt something on my arm.

I looked down and was startled to find this
right in the middle of my living room! Now, I do realize posting this photo will make me look somewhat like I don't clean the house, but I kid you not, this happened over night! I cleaned every inch of that house just the other day! The web attached to the door frame from the kitchen and to the chair at our table. In other words, in a very frequently trafficked area of our house.

So I ran to grab my camera and since it is just a point and shoot, and I didn't want to get too close to the arachnid, this was the best picture I got, the rest were just blurry. I sat staring at the spider as it continued to finish up the construction of its web trying to figure out exactly how I was going to get rid of it (Brandon had already left for work so that was out of the question). I knew I didn't want to touch the web, nor did I want to risk trying to smash the spider in a paper towel only to have it run over the top and on to my hand, so I did what any other person would do, I grabbed some 'Fantastic' (all -purpose cleaning solution) and began to spritz him. He freaked out and ran over to the chair to try and rub it off of him. When I was sure he had been slowed down, I moved in with my wad made up of 3 paper towels, 3. Not 1, not 2, but 3--I had to be certain I wouldn't touch the spider with my actual hand.

After I threw him away, I cleaned up everything else and headed off to work 10 minutes late (it took me that long to get up the courage to grab the spider with a paper towel).

The Reason I've Given up on the Carwash

It has happened twice so far. I get my car washed because I'm obsessed with keeping it clean, and within 24 hours we have a storm headed our way threatening everything from rain, to hail, to even tornadoes. This would normally be fine if you kept your receipt because you would have the opportunity to have a 'rain check' and get it washed again. The only problem with that is, you get your 'rain check' wash when the forecast has no rain in sight, and then that night another storm blows through. I love storms, don't get me wrong I've grown up in Texas with storms all my life and they are wonderful, but I wish there was a way to keep my car clean through them.

On Monday, as a storm was rolling in, Brandon and I were about to get in bed when he remembered he needed a spiral and 1 AA battery. I looked at him like, are you serious? and then I said, "Are you serious? Why don't you wait until the morning and then go to Wal-Mart?" then he continued on about how he needed it so bad. So after a few minutes of him trying to convince me, the truth came out, he wanted to go drive around in the puddles to wash off his truck. Funny how his thinking is the direct opposite of mine, I want to avoid driving in the rain at all cost to prevent all of the dirt from the road being thrown up onto the car.

So we went driving around in the puddles, and yes, we did go to wal-mart to get his spiral and AA battery. When we got back, his truck did look surprisingly clean considering the 4 inch coat of mud it had on it.

Well, for the past few days it has rained either in the evening or late afternoon which is pretty standard. So, yesterday I was on my way home from work after a pretty good rain, but nothing really extreme, and I thought I would take some pictures of what it's like when it rains in West Texas in a city without storm drains.

Notice the street to the right looks like a raging river.

This one is a little blurry, but I thought it was cool because you could see the water spashing up from my tires. I was having a blast soaking other cars coming the other way because I was bigger. I was seriously laughing out loud by myself.. does that make me weird?

This one is also a little blurry, you have to remeber that I was driving during all of this.. I wanted you to see the red water from all of the red dirt.

And this is what I came home to. Poor, poor, pitiful Bridger. See the dog house in the upper left corner? Yeah, she was on top of it instead of inside of it when I got home. She was completely soaked, shaking, and crying while I was opening her kennel. I wish I would have gotten a video of it for you to watch because it was so pitiful and so cute.

I hope you have enjoyed the fun I get to experience when I drive around here in the rain!! TODAY IS BRANDON'S BIRTHDAY!! We're having cake and ice cream tonight, so I will take some pictures!

A Texas Treasure.. for anyone but me

Mom, you're really going to like this one.

Brandon sees horny toads all the time out at the ranch he works on most days. He even caught a baby one time that he said was less than an inch long. He, unlike myself, enjoys catching all of the little animals that he finds, except of course when it's a rattlesnake, in which case he kills it.

So one day last week he caught a really big horny toad and took a picture of it. I knew there was another benefit to getting him an iPhone!

I named him Henry.. but Brandon told me that I always name random animals Henry. I don't know, it just seems to fit, and when one Henry leaves my life another is soon to follow.

He's massive! I totally wouldn't have even touched him.

So on to another story.. we went over to Brandon's parents' house some time last week and Brent told Brandon to go look at all the clothes. Well, some of their friends had brought over a huge pile of clothes and boots from a relative that had recently passed away. They were trying to get rid of things and wanted to see if anyone they knew wanted any of it.

Brandon found a pair of boots that fit and a couple pairs of jeans that will be great to wear out to the ranch because they already have holes and stuff in them. All of the pants were slim fit, which is not Brandon's cut of choice, but they definitely work for keeping him from wearing his 'church jeans' to work.

After he found some things he would keep, I begged and begged him to try on this one pair of jeans... there was about 4 of the same pair, so any would do. They are the darkest colored Wrangler slim fits, with a splash of polyester for stretch and comfort--except the were starched thoroughly and were as stiff as a piece of wood. He finally gave in and tried them on. When he got them on, I kept adding thing to his outfit just for some entertainment. I hope you enjoy!
You are not mistaken, those are eel skin boots, straight out of the 70s
and here's the whole outfit.. Brandon is making Kirk keep the vest for hunting, other than that, the outfit was just for my enjoyment.

Tomorrow is Brandon's birthday, he's going to be 24! I will try to take pictures with my actual camera and not my phone, but we'll see!

Sick

I always forget that our sweet, cuddly dog is also a cold blooded hunter and loves to track down and kill other animals. Lately we've been putting her in our yard for a little bit when we first let her out of the kennel do take care of her business in her own time and to run around a little bit. She could entertain herself for hours out there, every time I let her in the yard, this is what she does.

When you add in the crying, barking, and jumping, it becomes a pretty interesting sight. I know what you're thinking, what is she after?

Well folks, it is probably one of my least favorite things in the world (Bart, I'm still blaming you and your lizard earrings), that and a visit to the dentist. It's these massive tree lizards. They are EVERYWHERE! I have screamed numerous times when one has been around me. Also, if you will recall a previous post, we have horny toads as well, making it absolutely outrageous for me to even attempt to leave the semi-safety of the paved sidewalk--even though I have run into them on the sidewalk before, at least I can see them a little better.

Here's a picture I took of one up in the tree. See if you can see it, try looking for its tail first, that might make it easier. Now you know why I am so afraid of them, you cannot see them unless you are a) looking for them, or b) they are moving.

Here is a closer up picture from another tree. They are so SO gross, and I can't believe that they live so close to me.

Yesterday I let Bridger in the yard and there were two of them. After Bridger chased them up the tree, I stood at the top of our stairs looking into the tree to watch them run.. I had no idea how many there actually were. They are like termites and for some reason, some of them like to hang out about 18 to 24 inches off the ground making it perfect for Bridger. Thankfully she didn't get either of them.. I don't know what I will do the day she gets one. I think I'll just scream and wait until Brandon gets home to clean it all up. :) I'm so glad I have a husband who will take care of things like that for me!

Catching you up

It seems like I encounter one of these just about every day now so I had to write about them. Horny Toads. They're sick. They are like little dinosaurs that scare me to death and somehow, every time I tell my mom about them being around our house she gets almost as excited about it as she would for the wedding. But all joking aside, these little devils live in our yard and I'm always on edge when I let Bridger out because they camouflage themselves so well I can't see them until they move.

I know what you're wondering, do they do anything to you? do they bite? Well, no. I honestly think they are more afraid of me than I am of them, and I'm not going to get close enough to one to try and see if it will bite me. I like a good distance of about 5-10 feet. I've tried to take a picture of one, but they always catch me off guard because I can't see them until they move, and then they just scurry off. I've told Brandon that our yard is infested with them, but since he hasn't seen one, I think he just thinks I'm over reacting.

Growing up in Houston, I heard about these things called horny toads only because my mom would tell us stories of how she used to catch them and play with them because they were everywhere. I also remember hearing that they were an endangered species. As I got older, I stopped hearing about them, so I guess I just concluded in my head that they were extinct. I learned otherwise about a year ago when one scurried out from under the basketball goal at Brandon's parents' house and Rilee almost ate it.

A couple of weeks ago one scurried in front of me when I was walking up the stairs to the apartment and I screamed as if someone was murdering me. (Bart remember that time you were in the shower and I screamed because of a cockroach and you came flying down the stairs barely holding your towel on because you thought someone was trying to kill me? yeah, it was like that). It just gives me the jitters to think about!

Lizards are one of the most frightening things in the world to me (Bart, I blame you--in fact, I blame at least one of my siblings for things that I don't like...) and horny toads are like lizards from Satan. I mean, they are supposedly something people in Texas are proud of.. you can get a license plate and everything. I don't understand, it's just gross. I found this website, you'll have to see it to believe it--and mom, please don't sign up. Click Here.

In other wildlife news, instead of housing a full-grown squirrel between the window and the screen of our kitchen apartment, we now have a big bird's nest. It belongs to Mr. and Mrs. Finch (I named them). I think if I would have cared about 3 weeks ago when they started their nest I would have had Brandon go up there and clean it out so they would move somewhere else, but now that they are so far along on their home, I can't just destroy all of their hard work. Besides, she should be laying eggs in the near future! :) We are all just one big happy family.. Bridger likes them too!

Brandon got this when he went out of town last week and he thinks it's hysterical. He put it on the fridge and wouldn't let me take it off..
Also, I have a new idea for all of our wedding pictures! I went to goodwill and bought all of this (besides the letters) for only $8. I know I only have one picture in them and I still need more, but you can get the idea! :)
Well, that's it for now.. Brandon and I are off to the West Texas Sports Hall of Fame induction this evening, and I need to get ready! (his boss, Ray, is getting inducted)
